Find us

Fly to Zanzibar, Dar es Salaam or Tanga. Tanga airport is about 90 minutes away by road; we can arrange a transfer.

About 5 hours from Dar es Salaam and 2 hours from Tanga via Pangani. The final stretch to Ushongo is unsealed — a 4x4 is best in the rains.

Cross the Pangani river by ferry, then continue 15 km south to Ushongo. Boat transfers from Pangani can be arranged on request.

How do I book a cottage?

Is breakfast included?

Yes. Every rate includes breakfast, served on your terrace or in the restaurant whenever you are ready.

When is the best time to visit?

June to March is glorious. The long rains fall in April and May, and the water is clearest between July and February.

Can you arrange airport transfers?

Yes — from Tanga, Pangani or Dar es Salaam. Tell us your flight details in the booking form and we will quote the transfer.

Do you have a swimming pool?

Not yet — a pool is planned. For now the sea is warm, calm and a few steps from your cottage.

Are children welcome?

Very. The beach shelves gently, the family cottage sleeps four, and the kitchen happily cooks simpler dishes for younger guests.

Is there Wi-Fi and electricity?

There is Wi-Fi in the restaurant area and mains electricity with backup. Mobile coverage on the beach is good.
